Monday, November 18

8:00 – 8:45 am – Aqua Aerobics: Meet at the Sports Center for aqua aerobics, a cardiovascular workout that increases pulse and breathing rates while strengthening and toning muscles. Drop in is $25 per class, 3 classes $70, 5 classes $110, and 10 classes for $190. Open to the public; Corolla Light owners receive a 50% class discount. Call 252-207-8477 to register.

Wednesday, November 20

6:00 – 8:00 pm – Ocean Art Resin: Learn the art of resin and create your own art! Projects starting from $29. Open to the public, meet at the Corolla Light Sports Center. Pre registration is required by 12 noon! Click here to register

Monday, November 25

Scavenger Hunt begins. Pick up your form at the Sports Center!

8 am – 6 pm - Race Car Pickup: Purchase race car and paint set from the Sports Center Monday through Wednesday. Take them home to decorate for the big race on Friday.

Friday, November 29

8:00 – Annual Turkey Trot 5K Race: Meet at the Sports Center and burn off some Thanksgiving calories!

9:00 am - Race Car Race: Bring your decorated car to the Sports Center and race it on our home-made track!

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Adult Tennis Tournament: $10. Show off your skills, connect with other players, and enjoy friendly competition at our tournament. Click here to register.

10:00 am – Yoga with Chelsie $20: Bring your own towel or mat. Pay the instructor, cash only.

11 am – 4 pm, 8th Annual Christmas Craft Village: Start your holiday gift shopping on the grounds of Whalehead in Historic Corolla Park. Enjoy arts and crafts, fine arts, handmade cosmetics, baked goods and other unique treasures from local artists and vendors. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance to hear Christmas wishes and provide an opportunity for photos. There will also be pony rides, a petting zoo and food vendors for those hungry for more than a hot beverage.

1:00 pm – Bingo: Meet at the Sports Center.

2:30 pm - Cornhole Tournament: Meet at the Oceanfront field. $10 per team. Click here to register.

3:00 pm – Scavenger Hunt ends! Bring your forms to the Sports Center.

5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Corolla Christmas Village: Historic Corolla Village is transformed into a wonderland that delivers the holiday season spirit. Take a stroll through the sparkling village, where Christmas joy fills the crisp evening air. Perfect for the entire family, there is no admission fee for this self-guided event. Food Vendors: Steamers, Fork’et Me Not, OBX Kettle Corn, Lori’s Lunch Box and Queenie’s Weenies at Kind Cup Coffee. Entertainment: Art Market at Kind Cup Coffee, Santa at Island Bookstore from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, live jazz at Corolla Village Inn from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Saturday, November 30

5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Corolla Christmas Village: Historic Corolla Village is transformed into a wonderland that delivers the holiday season spirit. Take a stroll through the sparkling village, where Christmas joy fills the crisp evening air. Perfect for the entire family, there is no admission fee for this self-guided event. Food Vendors: Steamers, Fork’et Me Not, OBX Kettle Corn, Lori’s Lunch Box and Queenie’s Weenies at Kind Cup Coffee. Entertainment: Live music at Island Bookstore from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm; The Tillett Sisters at Corolla Village Inn from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The 8th Annual Christmas Craft Village is a one-day outdoor show that also includes additional fun to help get into the holiday spirit. Take in the sights of Historic Corolla Park… Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance to hear Christmas wishes and provide an opportunity for photos. We will also have pony rides, a petting zoo and food vendors for those hungry for more than a hot beverage. Ring in the holiday season in Corolla!

Beginning Friday, November 29, Whalehead’s Candlelight Christmas Tours: Step back in time to the 1920’s decor and customs taking place during Mr. and Mrs. Edward Collings Knight, Jr.’s time in Corolla. The Whalehead mansion is beautifully decorated in the tradition of the times with greenery, Christmas trees, music, luscious food, fruit, candy and nuts. This special tour will feature a live performance on the original one-of-a-kind Steinway piano – custom designed for Mrs. Knight – along with a few traditional Christmas carols. Tour participants will explore this magnificent mansion including the newly designed Starkey room exhibit. Guests will also enjoy a holiday treat at the conclusion of the tour. Fridays and Saturdays, starting Friday, November 29 and ending Saturday, December 21. Admission is $20.00 per person and reservations are required. December 13th and 14th – The Polar Express: Please join us at the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education Auditorium for a Polar Express experience… The Academy Award-winning team of Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Cast Away) reunite for The Polar Express, an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. 2 showings – 3:00pm and 6:30pm, tickets required due to limited seating. Corolla Christmas Village, Friday and Saturday Evenings, 5:00pm – 9:00pm, November 29 - December 28, Historic Corolla Village: The 3rd Annual Corolla Christmas Village brings lights, floral delights, and holiday sights. Historic Corolla Village is transformed into a wonderland that delivers the holiday season spirit. Take a stroll through the sparkling village, where Christmas joy fills the crisp evening air. Each weekend features food trucks, delectable beverages at The Kind Cup coffee shop, and unique shopping opportunities at various Corolla Village merchants. Perfect for the entire family, there is no admission fee for this self-guided event.
